After expanding their home with a new family room, my clients wanted to give their old family room new life—a space that felt like a destination, not just a passage to another room. They envisioned a cozy, whimsical retreat with a hint of speakeasy charm. The room also needed to be functional for both teenage dance parties and pet-friendly living, with flexible seating and easily movable pieces.

I carefully sourced fabrics and materials designed for durability and easy maintenance, ensuring the room could stand up to everyday life while still feeling inviting. Adding a touch of history, I incorporated William Morris wallpaper, drawing inspiration from the timeless beauty of the turn-of-the-century English Arts and Crafts movement, creating a space that bridges the past with a playful, lived-in feel.
