Design Starter
Similar to our full-service option, we start by presenting a detailed concept and design plan tailored to your vision. However, with this tier, you take charge of purchasing products and coordinating deliveries and installations. This is a great choice for clients who are comfortable managing their own project timeline and executing the design independently.
for remote and smaller-scale projects

With a defined number of hours and a focused scope of work, you’ll receive targeted assistance for your design needs. Clients purchase a set number of hours within a specified timeframe to consult with Seasons for Design, allowing for expert advice on decision-making and sourcing. It’s a flexible and efficient way to enhance your space with tailored design support.
A Layered Design Approach
While a home renovation is fun and thrilling, I have found that decision fatigue sets in for many of my clients. I want the design process to always be fun and not overwhelming. To combat decision fatigue, I design your space in manageable layered steps.
-
We start each project by evaluating the base layer. Looking at your architecture, existing style, and items that you would like to keep in your space. We talk about how you want your space to function, be used, and how you dream of the space. From there we come up with a design concept about what the space can be. This is often the color scheme, patterns, and large furniture items or kitchen cabinets.
-
Continuing to build on the first layer, we find the secondary pieces like textiles, tables, and accents that will make the room feel more complete. I find that design is a changing process and while we may start in one direction, the project can change as time goes on and as needs and functions are identified.
-
My designs never look fully new. I want there to be an element of lived in and fresh old world. I want guests to your home feel that you’ve spent years collecting and building this space rather than it being completely new. I design with layers as it is this final layer with accents like art, accessories, pillows, that create the depth and soul of a space.
FAQs

In interior design, our focus is on crafting spaces that blend beauty and function to enhance and elevate your everyday life. We work closely with you to bring your vision to life, curating every element, from the finishes like tile and plumbing to the furniture that completes the look. Depending on the scope of the project, we also collaborate with architects and contractors—architects guide the structural aspects of new builds or additions, while contractors bring the designs we've thoughtfully planned together to reality. It’s a team effort, with the ultimate goal of creating a space that reflects you and supports how you live.
-
Full-service design means we handle everything from start to finish, so when the project is done, you come home to a beautifully completed space. We take care of it all—from sourcing and customizing pieces to collaborating with trades and coordinating every last delivery and installation. You get to enjoy your transformed space without any of the stress or project management headaches—that’s all on us!

The first step is to fill out the contact form above. I work with clients locally in the Washington DC area, nationally, and remotely. Once I receive your form, I’ll reach out for a complimentary 20-minute call to discuss your project. If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a consultation to see the space—whether it’s finished or in the construction phase—and talk through the project’s scope to create a personalized design proposal.
-
Every project is different, but timelines typically range from 6 to 12 months depending on the scope. Furnishing projects usually take about 6 to 8 months, while large-scale renovations can take over 12 months, including the planning phase. If your project involves new construction or a renovation requiring an architect or contractor, it's best to involve an interior designer before construction begins. Interior designers approach projects differently from architects and contractors—furniture layout and design details should be discussed early, as they can impact the placement of systems like electrical, heating, and cooling, among other elements.

While based in the Washington DC area, we offer interior design services outside of this area! We would love to work with you in person and or remotely. Our process is the same for local and distant clients.
